    kconner@plps.org

Graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey
    Head coach since 2020
    PLHS Math teacher since 2017

I attended Dumont High School where I played soccer and competed as a four year varsity athlete on the winter and spring track and field teams, earning all league and all county honors.  I was a 4 event competitor in the Bergen County Meet of Champions.  I placed at the state sectional and state group levels, competing in the New Jersey State Meet of Champions three times.  As a high school athlete, I was a 4x most valuable player, broke league and county relay records, and still hold my high school's record in the indoor high jump.  My senior year, I was selected as my high school's NJSIAA Scholar Athlete where I was honored at the same event as Coach VanDerlofske!

I went on to attend Ramapo College of New Jersey for my Bachelor's Degree and later my Master's Degree.  I competed on the track and field teams there, as well.  I placed at the conference level in the hurdles, triple jump, and high jump.  While at Ramapo, I was admitted to the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletic Honor Society and earned the honor each year of making the New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.  My relay team set the school record in the 100m shuttle hurdles and I remain on the college's top ten all time lists for 6 events.

I have experience as a volunteer coach and guest events specialist at the middle and high school levels.  Here at Pompton Lakes High School, I became an assistant coach in 2019 and the Girls' Head Track and Field Coach in 2020.  I am grateful for the opportunity to lead this program and to help our athletes to grow while inspiring them with a love of the sport and the unique experience track and field has to offer them.
