Degrees and Certifications:

Miss Norman

My name is Carly Norman and I am one of the kindergarten teachers at Lincoln School.  I first began my teaching career as a maternity leave substitute in first grade at Lenox Elementary School.  I then finished up the school year at Lenox teaching third as a maternity leave substitute.  I began teaching kindergarten at Lincoln in 2017 and I am so excited to be continuing my career here in kindergarten!!

I graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as an Endorsement in Reading (K-12).  Through my practicums at Rowan, I have had experience tutoring reading in grades one, two, and three; and I completed my clincial practice in a first grade classroom.  I find it especially important to have an understanding of the expectations of the coming years, and will work with your family as your child moves through those developmental milestones.

My goal is to create a positive, nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom.   I will not only be teaching students academics- I will be teaching the social and emotional behaviors that your child will need throughout his/her years in school.  I’d like you and your family to know that I am a firm believer in parent-to-teacher communication.  I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year.  By working together, I know that we will make this a fantastic year!  It’s my honor and pleasure to be your child’s teacher, and I can’t wait to begin this journey together!

Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns at any time!

A little bit about Miss Norman...

My family consists of me, my younger sister, our mom and our dad.  We also have a dog named Roxy.  My favorite time of the year is summer because I love to go swimming and spend time outside!  Some of my favorite things to do are cooking and baking, going for walks, and going to the beach.  I also love to spend time with my family and friends whenever I can!  I look forward to getting to know you more this year!
