Mrs. Jassin, here!
Glad to have some space on the Web to talk about our Technology Program. I have been working in Pompton Lakes since 1998, teaching students to use technology effectively. We have had lots of fun, integrating projects and activities into the curricula, recently adding in computer science!
Currently, I have assumed the role of Instructional Technology Coach at Lenox School.
In the Lenox School lab, we have 26 HP desktop computers that run Windows 10, with some fun software titles and web applications. There is access for color and black and white printing. Also, there are Chrome Tablets available for all students in grades K and 1.
In addition, we have Chromebook Carts for ALL students in grades 2 - 5. Students are issued their own headphones to use with all types of devices.
Newer to the lab, is the STEM/Maker cart. Students have the opportunity to practice completing circuits, programming robots, viewing far away places through Google Expeditions VR, breaking out with Breakout.edu, and creating with Legos, K'Nects, Keva Planks, Magformers, and Strawbees. Our newest items include: Unruly Splats, Green Screen Kit, Botley Robots, and a Lego Wall!
