Mrs. Jassin, here!Glad to have some space on the Web to talk about our Technology Program. I have been working in Pompton Lakes since 1998, teaching students to use technology effectively. We have had lots of fun, integrating projects and activities into the curricula, most recently adding in computer science!Currently, I have assumed the role of Instructional Technology Coach and K-3 TechnologyTeacher at Lenox School. For students, there are Chrome Tablets available in grades K and 1. In addition, we have Chromebooks for ALL students in grades 2 - 5.Newer to Lenox School, are the STEM/Maker materials housed in the Media Center. Students have the opportunity to practice completing circuits, programming robots, programming "unplugged" coding materials, breaking out with Breakout.edu, and creating with Legos, K'Nects, Keva Planks, Magformers, Bloxels, and Strawbees. Our newest items include: Unruly Splats, Green Screen Kit, Botley Robots, Ozobots, Sphero Indi, and a Lego Wall!Check out the Student Projects tabs to see some projects that we have worked on in the past.
