Hi. My name is Mr. Woodcock. I am proud to say that not only do I work at Lincoln School but I also attended Lincoln School as a student. I grew up in Pompton Lakes and graduated from the high school in 1986. It seems like such a long time ago. My dream came true in September of 1996 when I began teaching here at Lincoln School. Ironically I taught many years in the very classroom where I spent fifth grade as a student. It is fun to hear students talk about various sports activities where I participated growing up. As you can probably tell one of my interests is watching sports such as football, basketball, and baseball to name a few.
I live in West Milford now with my wife, two boys, and dog. I enjoy watching my sons compete in basketball, skiing or spending time down the shore with my family. I coached football six years for the Cardinals. My fondest memory was watching the team win the state playoffs in 2005 at Giants Stadium. After that I left coaching to coach my sons in West Milford.
My favorite thing about teaching is interacting with the children on a daily basis. I have learned so much from them over the years and it is my goal to leave them with skills to equip them for the grade levels ahead. I strive to provide a positive role-model for the children and make learning fun. I hope I can leave a lasting impression on all students who enter my classroom.
