• All about Mrs. Marianne Russo
I have been a teacher in Pompton Lakes for the past 15 years. I am so excited about beginning the 2022-23 school year as the ESL teacher at Lakeside Middle School. I enjoy being the 'English as a Second Language' teacher very much.
I received my BA degree from Douglass College, Rutgers University. I am a certified teacher in the following areas: K-12 ESL, K-12 Spanish, K-5 Elementary Education, and Middle School Math 5-8.  I received my Supervisor Endorsement in 2010 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities Endorsement in 2012.  I received my first Master's Degree in Education in Second Language Acquisition from William Paterson University (WPU) in 2009.  I received my second Master's Degree on May 18, 2016, MEd. Leadership, from William Paterson University.
When I am not teaching and learning, I am enjoying time with my family.  My husband, Chris, and I have 4 children.
Our oldest son, Jeff, lives in Idaho and is an independent software engineer.  Our daughter, Nicole, works for a Financial Services company in NJ. She and her husband Brenel are the proud parents of their daughters and our grandchildren, Joelle,  born in November of 2020, and our newest edition, Maddie, 2022.  Our son Steven is pursuing his dream of becoming a web designer/programmer.  Our daughter Kristen works at a Mortgage broker company remotely and recently moved to SC. She loves her job, traveling, and learning. We adopted Reggie, a bluetick coonhound mix, in February of 2020. He has been a great addition to our family. My family loves spending time together watching movies.  We enjoy Sunday dinners together.
Again, it is an honor and privilege to be a Pompton Lakes School teacher. This is going to be a great year.
